About Jangchub Ling
Jangchub Ling Buddhist Centre is a place where everyone is welcome to come and learn meditation, regardless of experience, background or beliefs.
We are a registered charity dedicated to helping people find practical tools that improve and transform daily life through meditation.
We are run entirely by volunteers who are part of our community, no one at JLC makes a profit from our activities. All our teachers are dedicated practitioners, studying under senior teachers in a tradition going back to the time of Buddha Shakyamuni himself. All fees are to help us continue our work of helping others.
Our Resident Teacher
The principal teacher at JLC is Gen Kelsang Khechog. Khechog was ordained in 2006 by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. After studying for a number of years on the Teacher Training Programme at the internationally renowned Tara Kadampa Meditation Centre near Derby, Khechog was appointed as the Resident Teacher of Jangchub Ling Buddhist Centre in September 2009.
Known for his thoughtful nature, Khechog presents Buddha’s teachings with relatable clarity, showing how to connect these beautiful meditations with the realities of modern daily life.
Other Teachers at Jangchub Ling Centre
One of the best ways to learn is to teach. Some of Jangchub Ling centre’s senior students share the experience of their sincere practice with others by teaching classes in and around the West Midlands.
Community
JLC is made up of people from all walks of life, Buddhist and non-Buddhist, coming together to help each other gain practical experience of Buddha’s teachings and find peace and joy.
