‘Prayers for World Peace’
& Centre Cherishing Mornings
“We should know that learning to cherish others is the best method for establishing world peace in general, and for our own peace of mind in particular.”
‘Prayers for World Peace’, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
What happens on ‘Prayers for World Peace' & Centre Cherishing Mornings?
Starting at 10am with an inspiring teaching from our Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Khechog, we then engage in ‘Prayers for World Peace’, short prayers which create powerful karma for peace in our own life and in the world at large. During these prayers Gen Khechog guides a short meditation.
Then between 11am and 1pm we create even more good karma by making the centre clean, tidy and well kept so that everyone attending feels they are stepping into a special place. The positive energy accumulated by these actions can be felt by everyone and has a powerful influence on our ability to meditate effectively.
All this is followed by a light lunch for those who have time. It would be lovely if you could join us for any part of these blessed events!
Upcoming Dates;

FAQ:
Is there a charge for ‘Prayers for World Peace’
No, there is no charge.
Do I have to attend both ‘Prayers for World Peace’ and ‘Centre Cherishing’?
Not at all. Please come to whatever part you wish and for whatever time you’re able. Everything is appreciated :-)
Do I need special skills, or to be able bodied, to join centre cherishing?
No. DIY skills are always useful, but a lot of what needs doing is simple. We have jobs for all abilities, but if you’d like to check with us beforehand, please get in touch.
I DO have some DIY skills, how can I help?
Excellent, just turn up and let us know, or even better, contact us before hand so we can make sure we make the most of those skills!
I can’t come on the day - but can I volunteer at other times?
That’d be great, we’d love to hear from you. Please click here to email Cheryl and let her know how you’d like to help.
